Our visit with Grandpa Sutter

So this is our family's first official blog. Out of guilt because of Elder Ballard's charge to use blogs I am hereby repenting and and have started our family blog. I'm not sure we'll have very many exciting or clever things to say, but we'll do our best...

The last couple of days have been great fun. We have spent time with our cousins and family. Right now Alex's dad Ken is here. Alex has put him to work. Today they spend hours working on our hot water heater. For the past year it has only produced enough hot water to last for one medium length shower. But Ken is an electrician and so he was able to fix it. We were without water for a while though. They've also worked on a problem under the sink. Which unfortunately is still not resolved. We've had lots of water in the kitchen. But they are still laughing so that's good. Since it's late they've finally given up and are watching "Meet the Robinsons" on the big screen. Tomorrow they'll finish that. They've also got one of the bathroom floors torn up. They are putting tile down. They'll have to do that tomorrow also as the water episodes lasted a bit longer than they thought.

Today Ken celebrated his birthday. We had a yummy ham dinner with the works. Compliments of Ken's Christmas bonus. In the midst of unwrapping his presents I discovered that the diamond on my wedding ring had popped off! Needless to say we still haven't found it.

What a day. Water every where, a lost diamond, potty break to grandma's, ham dinner and a birthday. Oh, and Alex held his 6th Annual Blood Drive today. Alex also ran to Twin with Ken for parts during the day and introduced him to Cold Stone. He loved it!

I also got my text book for my next BYU class in the mail. Anthropology 110 aka Archeology. Doesn't that sound exciting to some of you? It does for me! Happy Day All!

Note about the diamond 9sorry, that really stinks) check the vaccum cleaner - the same thing happened to my mom, and that's where we found it. Good luck in the hunt.
