Yesterday Alex and I served at the Twin Falls Temple Open House. What a great day! It was so fun to be there with our family and friends. It was our Stake's day to staff and serve for the open house and so it was fun seeing all our friends from Carey, Hailey, Shoshone, Dietrich and of course Richfield scattered throughout the temple grounds.
Alex helped with the ice and the food during his first shift and then for his second shift he stood in the baptistry and smiled as an usher.
I was asked to help the tour guides get their schedule for the day outlined. That was so much fun. They have tours every 5 minues and there are 30 people booked in almost every tour. I was absolutely amazed at how many people came to the temple. Then I played the piano in the chapel for a while. For my second shift I was in the temple has an usher like Alex only I moved around a little bit. One of my spots was in the Celestial Room-the best assignment.
It was a great day. A peaceful day. I guess that why we love the temple so much-sheer peace.
