Movie Quotes

I saw this on my sister's blog and thought it was a fun idea. I really hope some of you do it as well. NO CHEATING!!

Rules:

- Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
- Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
- Post them for everyone to guess.
- Put it in bold and italics when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
- NO GOOGLING or using IMDb search or other search functions to find the answers.
- For extra credit name the character that said the line.

1. The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the dead keep it. The way is shut. Legolas in "Lord of the Rings:Return of the King", about the dead people in the mountain. (Camille) Legolas is one of my all time favorite movie characters. In our house we things he is the bomb! : )

2. Peter's not king yet! Edmund in "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" (Tasha)

3. She is tolerable I suppose, but she's not handsome enough to tempt me. Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice" (Debra)

4. Yeah. I hope you boys have learned as much from me this year as I've learned from you. You've taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him. And I guess it's about time I joined the club. Coach Bill Yoast in "Remember the Titans" (Lacey) - Alex's favorite movie. Besides "National Treasure" this is the most quoted movie in our house.

5. It's a big blue-ish green man... with a strange-looking goatee... I'm guessing that's significant. Riley in "National Treasure" (Olivia)

6. Let me 'splain. [pause] No, there is too much. Let me sum up. Buttercup is marry' Humperdinck in a little less than half an hour. So all we have to do is get in, break up the wedding, steal the princess, make our escape... after I kill Count Rugen. Indigo Montayo (okay I don't know how to spell his name) in "Princess Bride" (Tasha)

7. Women. Can't live with 'em, especially if they change the alarm codes. Riley in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" (Olivia)

8. Rules of engagement are written for your safety and for that of your team. They are not flexible, nor am I. Either obey them or you are history. Is that clear? Striker in "Top Gun" (Becky)

9. The world is full of nice, ordinary little people who live in nice, ordinary little houses on the ground. But didn't you ever dream of a house up on a tree top?

10. Two days ago, I didn't believe in the existence of talking animals... of dwarves or... or centaurs. Yet here you are, in strengths and numbers that we Telmarines could never have imagined.

11. Oh my goodness! Shut me down. Machines building machines. How perverse.

12. Fool of a Took. Throw yourself in next time, and rid us of your stupidity. Gandalf in "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings" about Pippen (Camille)

13. There was this mollusk, and he walks up to this sea cucumber. Normally, they don't talk, sea cucumbers, but in a joke everyone talks. So the sea mollusk says to the cucumber... Marlin from "Finding Nemo" (Tasha)

14. It wasn't my fault, sir, please don't deactivate me. I told him not to go, but he's faulty, malfunctioning. Kept babbling on about his mission. C3PO to Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars: A New Hope" (Camille)

15. Max... I am not Han Solo. You are not Luke Skywalker. There's no Empire. There's no Force and there's no Dark Side! Kevin in "Spacecamp" (Olivia)

My guess for #4 is Newsies or Mighty Ducks. Just a guess. I don't know the characters at all.

Nevermind! I just remembered it (#12) happening in one of the other Lord of the Rings movies. Gandalf made a similar comment in the third movie, though.
