Animal Tales

So the last day we had silly animal stories and then other events...

Olivia's hamster "disappeared" while she was cleaning his cage. He was in his exercise ball and just rolled off. How do you loose a hamster and his ball? We looked high and low to no avail. Finally I thought, "Where's Athos?" (the cat) We occasionally find him perched on top of one of the hamsters licking his lips and waving his tail all over. I happen to look out the window and see him running for the house with a gigantic bird in his mouse. The was still alive and the poor thing was flapping his wings with all its might. The kids ran outside screaming to let the poor birdie go! The bird was almost as big as the cat. Fortunately for the mental health of our children the bird did get away. The cat's normally not a hunter. He thinks he's too good looking for that sort of thing. Anyway we eventually find the hamster. He had rolled behind some things and we couldn't see him.

Yesterday, we had "misplaced" Hank the dog. We couldn't seem to find him anywhere. Oh, yeah, we didn't get him out of the suburban when we came back from seeing our cousins three hours before. Oops! We've never forgotten the poor fellow before like that. He's a good dog so he'd just been curled up in the back of the suburban hoping we'd remember him. He was really sad the rest of the night because he thought we were mad at him.

And though my kids aren't animals (I guess technically they are) I'll throw another two stories in for good measure. Alex came home and the register for the vent was gone in the kitchen. It hadn't been gone that long because I'd just been in there. Luke and Caleb kept saying the other had hid it. But neither one remembered where at. Alex was hollering at them to "Find that vent before someone breaks their ankle." They were told they couldn't play anymore until they found it. They never could find it. Jared said he'd go look for it. It was in broad daylight in library room on a desk. Why wouldn't it be in the library room? Luke and Caleb are loopy, silly sometimes.

And last but not least...I was one the phone finishing a curriculum order for school and I come back into the living room when I was done and there is water over half of the rug in the living room and towels every where. "Hello! what's this about?" "We were having a water balloon fight mom and some of the balloons popped!" You don't say?

Some days I feel like I live in a zoo! But they are all so happy and silly so who's to complain?

Could someone please send in the zookeeper? Wait, is that me??

Would you be ok if I posted a url to someone else's blog who is having a contest on your comments? You could also enter her contest. The idea behind it is to find as many ways to post her contest and then make as many comments per posting her url. (hope that makes sense). If you are not interested, then that's ok. Please leave a response on my blog yes or not. :)
