Las Vegas Trip

We were able to spend a couple of days in Las Vegas because Alex had a training he had to go to. The kids ended up being sick most of the time. They preferred being in the bed with pj's on for the day. I read 3 1/2 books during their naps and lounging. We watched a lot of PBS-which was a treat because they hardly ever get to see cartoons. (Only when they go to their cousins or grandma's house).

We stayed at the Excalibur. They totally enjoyed "The Tournament of Kings." Watching their face through the whole thing was the best entertainment for me. We did buy two pay-per-view movies. Casino's don't offer a lot of stations in their rooms. They'd prefer you being out doing "other" things. We watched Madagascar 2 (thumbs down) and Bedtime Stories (thumbs up). The kids went swimming once, but that didn't last very long. We saw the MGM Lions and Jared was the only one tall enough and brave enough to go on it.

We ended up coming home a day early because the kids are sick and we went to a funeral. We are glad to be home. Our furnace is broken right now so it's VERY cold, but we'll be warm soon! I appreciate the pioneers a whole lot more.

hope everyone is feeling better now. I didn't even know you were in Vegas or I would have hitched a ride. :) Good luck staying warm.

Sorry the trip was not as fun as it could be. I have to add my input though, I give a definate thumbs UP to Madagascar 2. I love the music and I laughed so hard at certain parts. Our family enjoyed it. Just thought I would give me review:) We also enjoyed Bedtime stories too! Better Luck in Vegas next time.
