Yesterday we added some goats to our land. They are actually two goats that our cousins had last year that they goat tied with. They had lived with some friends for this past year. But now they are ours. So they kids already knew them and everyone is excited that Benny and Goliath are still in the family. Here are the pictures that the kids took while I was working else where on the land. Notice how tall those weeds are! That's their job-mow down the weeds. And let me tell you there are weeds everywhere! There are 82+ acres of weeds in fact! You got to love the fingers in the pictures and their other silly pictures.
Aloha Deanna! Love catching up with you through your blog. Goats! Yippee! We had goats when we were kids to help with weed control too. One piece of advice--never stake them close to your clothesline. Green cud-covered t-shirts are never quite the same. So what are you reading right now? I'm always fascinated to hear what that great mind of yours is tackling next. Keep me posted on how you're doing. Tell Stephanie hi. I miss you both! Love, Michelle
