- I told the kids that they had 50 costumes in their toy box and this year I was not going to buy any costumes. They were totally fine with that.
- I don't like Halloween.
- Caleb was a cowboy. He just wore the clothes he received for his birthday present.
- Luke was a Jedi. Shocking I know. He's been a Jedi for all 8 years of his life I think.
- Jared had two costumes: His main costume was Archie Kennedy from the Horatio Hornblower series. Think of an English Royal Navy Officer from the late 1700's and early 1800's. For his second costume it was a last minute deal with his cousin Erica. He ended up dressing up as a character from a game she and him made up and play. He just dressed up as this for a couple of doors and went door knocking with Erica. For the rest of the night he was Archie though.
- Olivia is "too old" to go trick-or-treating now apparently and so she stayed home to pass out candy. I told her she had to retire from trick-or-treating after her 6th grade year, but she opted to retire a year early.
- I don't like Halloween.
- It was a warm night and the kids didn't have to wear a winter coats and gloves and cover their costumes as most other Halloween's around here.
- We didn't go to as many houses as we usually do and I was chastised by several people for not bringing my kids to their house. Aghhh!
- I love living in my little Idaho town where my kids can get homemade goodies and you know that no one is trying to poison them.
- And as previously mentioned I don't like Halloween and I'm happy to move on now to more "friendly" holidays.
- I wonder if I'm even going to remember to buy candy when they kids are all out of the house?
