Weekly Kids Quotes

Caleb to me, "Is it fast Sunday?" (No) "Oh, it's slow Sunday."

Luke, "I've been looking for my sword for years now." Jared, "Hello, you only have had that one since Christmas." Luke angrily, "What's that got to do with anything?"

Luke praying, "Please bless Olivia will get all the girly girl stuff she wants when she grows up."

The kids were babysat at the Harris one night and when we came back they were watching 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. I love that movie so I was excited to see if they liked it. They did except for Jared. He said, "Mom, I don't DO musicals. Every time a song came on I kept hitting myself in the head hoping the song would get over with soon."

Luke said this after observing a small truck fly down a country road with a four year old literally hanging off the back cab, "Well, that's a good way to kill yourself."

Jared answered the phone one night during dinner. He handed the phone to Alex and was freaked out. He quietly said with deep fear and I'm not kidding dead seriousness, "Dad, it's for you, it's a SPY!" For those of you know him it was Brother Firth. Alex had quite the little discussion after that!

After Annie died Luke said this in a prayer, "Please Hank (the other dog) will feel better because I think he's crying. Please bless Annie in heaven that she'll be happy and have a good time with Porter (a previously deceased dog)."

Caleb, "This is so good (dinner) that I think my pants will fall off." (I have know idea where that one came from).

Luke observing a sunset, "Wow, that is so beautiful. (sigh) It's a miracle." Jared snickering and laughing says, "Luke that's just a sunset, they happen every night." (We then had a nice little chat about that. Can you see who is right brained and who is left brained? Me? Well unfortunately I hadn't even noticed the sunset either. I'm super left brained also).
